Week 8 - Monday October 14 - Friday 18, 2019

This is your opportunity to put yourself forward for GSU election.

Registration will be from 7:00 - 7:30pm at the Edmund Burke Theatre, Arts Block, TCD (main campus). Those interested in running for posts (see below) should notify us of same to at the registration desk. During the voting section of the meeting, you will be given an opportunity (circa 5 minutes) to outline why your colleagues should vote for you. Only registered postgrads can vote. Additionally, only registered postgrads in their respective faculties can vote for their faculty officer or rep. Every registered postgrad can vote for the Equality & Diversity Officer. Only registered PhDs can vote for the Research Officer. There is no online voting.

Following posts are to be filled by election at the AGM. Take a look at the GSU Handbook here, from page 14 onwards, for information about each of the roles.

1 x Faculty Officer for each of AHSS, HS, and EMS.

1 x Faculty Rep for each of AHSS, HS, and EMS.

1 x Equality & Diversity Officer

1 x Research Officer/Rep

The AGM is an opportunity to meet other postgrads. Following the AGM we will retire for some food and refreshments courtesy of the GSU. The venue TBC. We look forward to seeing you all there.
