All postgraduate Students in Trinity College Dublin are automatically members of the Union. The union has a number of elected and interview-elected positions in order to serve the graduate community. below you will see some information about some of these positions.

We are currently seeking 4 officers to join the executive committee for the 2017/18 year. as well as this, each course, school and department has elected postgraduate representatives. Please see information about how you can seek election to these position below

Becoming a GSU Representative in 2017


We currently invite applications for the positions of Events Officer, Communications Officer, International Student Officer and Environmental Officer for 2017/18. These 4 Officer positions are interview-elected posts and are a great way of becoming involved in Postgraduate life on campus this coming year.

If interested, please forward your CV/Resume to President@tcdgsu.ie with the subject line being the name of the Officer role you wish to apply for.

Furthermore, every postgraduate course in Trinity has a representative (1 representative per 30 students) that is elected according to the Union's processes. In the case of PhD students, each school has two elected PhD representatives. See here for a list of roles and responsibilities associated with these roles.

The GSU will conduct Representative elections in late September and you must have signed up via the link provided to be on the ballot.
